Testing, testing!

Yesterday, in the midst of a double-ear infection, Luca had allergy skin testing. We were hoping to get some answers about which antibiotics he ISN'T allergic to, since he had reactions to many in the past. However, we couldn't test for the antibiotics yesterday - those tests have to be done in the hospital!

Anyway, we did get some good news - Luca's not allergic to some foods that we were suspicious of. We have more tests to go, but I was very pleased with the results, and with Luca's great behavior for the tests! He was a trooper, and he never even flinched!
As far as his ear infection goes, he is pretty sick and has a fever. The doctors came up with a plan to treat him, and so far, no reactions! We just pray that our little boy can heal, now.

When it was over, I was more relieved than anyone - these were much better than the allergy tests I had 20+ years ago!
I couldn't wait to give my big boy a hug!

We're Still Here...

I guess I got lazy and took a hiatus from blogging for a while. My last post was 38 days ago, and since then, not much has been happening around here.
For the most part, it was because I really didn't have anything good to say - we were sick. The whole time - sick... Bronchitis, stomach flu (a really bad strain), and then colds. Poor Luca has had the worst of it - he tends to just get one thing after another. I can't remember when he's had 2 weeks of straight "healthiness!"
Anyway, Bella and Luca are STILL snotting and coughing, but I think that we've turned the corner and we're on our way to getting healthy again.
It helps that our San Diego weather has come back. We actually had what felt like winter (okay, a really MILD winter compared to what you east coasters are dealing with), but it rained a lot and was pretty cool and yucky for a few weeks.
The last few days here have been beautiful and has really lifted our spirits. The kids love being outside and it has helped them tremendously (it's helped me, too!)

The first picture was taken today - this kids were having a snack outside - as you can see by the shorts, it's a really nice day.

The picture of Luca was taken last week at the playground by our house. He is getting bigger and so is his hair!
