Let it Snow!

On our last day in PA, we finally got what we were waiting for.... snow!

Bella was thrilled when she woke up in the morning to a fresh blanket of the white stuff. She rushed through breakfast, and we quickly dressed her in whatever snow clothes we could find - (we were not prepared this year). Even though everything she had on was too small, she had so much fun. It was great just watching her squeal with delight about it. I, on the other hand, was freezing my "California-seasoned" butt off... but stuck it out with her as Keith stayed inside with Luca who was too sick for such cold - again.
Now we are home, and there's no snow in sight - at least here in Southern California. Up north they're getting blasted, but here we're just getting lots and lots of rain.
We miss PA, and we miss everyone there. We can't wait to get back, but after the horrific time I had with Luca on the flight coming back here, I need a few months to forget about that.
Happy New Year!

Home for the Holidays

Well, we just got back yesterday from a great vacation with our family in Brownsville, PA. As you can tell from the pictures, we had an activity-packed, fun-filled time!
The first picture is of my brother, "Uncle Chad" with all of the kids after they had opened presents from each other. Bella loved her Steeler jersey so much that she put it on right away! Thanks Uncle Chad and Aunt Jen!
Luca took to the tractor right away - just like every time we visit, and I couldn't resist such a cute picture.
My sister, Jaime, my Dad and I took advantage of a rare photo opportunity on Christmas Eve, which is spent at my Aunt Gina's house. The theme is a pajama party, and we have fish and pasta, as well as the first crack at the long-awaited Christmas cookies! We finish off the evening with Christmas Carols at the piano, and it's always a great time.
On Christmas morning, Bella was more than grateful to Nonna, who made sure that she had plenty of presents to open! This, in part, was the reason that we had to ship 4 boxes home before we left!
Keith's 42nd birthday was on Dec. 28th. We really try to give him his own day because of Christmas being so close, but this year, he had to share it with the Steelers. It's too bad they didn't win. Jilli, Bella, Luca and Noah were standing by as the candles were being lit!
We all had so much fun, and were truly not ready to leave. Thanks to everyone who made this Christmas so special for us!
